IIT Bombay leads with 42nd rank in QS Asia Rankings 2022

Topping the list was Singapore’s National University of Singapore (NUS), followed by Peking University (PKU) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

Today, on November 2, QS Asia Rankings 2022 results were revealed. Topping the list was Singapore’s National University of Singapore (NUS), followed by Peking University (PKU) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Of the top 200 Asian universities, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is first with a 42nd place ranking.
According to a press release from IIT Bombay, the institute scored 71 points out of 100.

IIT Bombay has an academic reputation score of 81.4, an employer reputation score of 96, a citation rate of 23 per faculty, a faculty-to-student ratio of 44.7, a PhD paper production rate of 84.2 per faculty, a 78.5 international research network score, an international faculty score of 11.0, an international student score of 4.4, an inbound exchange score of 14.5 and an outbound exchange score of 8.3 out of a possible 100 points, it added.

The strongest indicator in the QS Asia Rankings was provided by PhD personnel at IIT Bombay, who placed it at number 18 regionally.

The institute was ranked in the top 7% of Asian universities by QS in their 2022 edition of regional rankings. Last year, it was ranked 37th.

There are 45 IITs in Delhi and 54 IITs in Madras, according to the rankings.
