To activate Akimbo Card, login into your online account dashboard at akimbocard.com and clicking the “Activate Card” button or by calling 1-855-9-AKIMBO (855-925-4626), and using the automated system or speaking to a representative.
Akimbo is a leading card issuer and program manager. They provide the Ultimate Card Platform for Organizations, including businesses, non-profits, and government entities.
How do I activate my card?
You must activate your Akimbo Card before it can be used for purchases or at ATMs.
However, you can load your card with a bank transfer or direct deposit and send and receive money with other Akimbo Cards before receiving or activating your Akimbo Card.
You are able to activate your card by calling 1-855-9-AKIMBO (855-925-4626), and using the automated system or speaking to a representative. You can also activate your card by simply logging into your online dashboard and clicking the “Activate Card” button. You will need to provide the full card number, as well as some verification during activation.
Keep in mind that you must also activate all sub-account Akimbo Cards before they can be used for purchases. You can activate these by logging in to your primary account and clicking the “Sub-Card” tab on the dashboard menu bar. You are then able to select a particular sub-card, and activate the card by clicking the “Activate” button.

Steps to Activate My Card
1. First visit the page : https://app.akimbocard.com/app/#/activate
2. Enter your Card Number
3. Now enter your Card Expiration Date and CVV printed on back side of the card
4. Now Set your Card Pin and Confirm Pin.
5. Click on the button “Activate” to activate your card.
6. You can also activate your card by calling 1-855-449-2273.

Manual Bank Verification
If you are unable to use the instant bank verification tool, fear not, they can still link your bank account.
In order for them to manually add the account, please provide with a recent bank statement and photo ID. This documentation can be sent via email to bankverification@akimbocard.com, or via fax to 1-855-625-4626.
Please be advised, if you are unable to provide the requested documents, you may still load your Akimbo Card via direct deposit or at participating cash loading locations.
