The state government has given one month as the last extension for such teachers reinstated by Panchayati Raj and Municipal Planning Units in government schools of Bihar, whose certificates have not been monitored and checked. The number of such teachers is 88 thousand.Â
They will have to upload their certificates from June 21 to July 20 this month on the web portal created by the Education Department with the help of NIC. Failure to do so will render the appointment of teachers as illegal and their service will be terminated. Along with this, the amount of salary received so far will also be recovered from them under the provisions of the Public Demand Recovery Act.
Director of Primary Education Dr. Ranjit Kumar Singh informed that as a last option to make available the folders of teachers whose certificates related folders have not been made available to the Monitoring Investigation Bureau by the DEO, a web-portal has been set up by the department. has been prepared.
 District wise list of such teachers has been uploaded on this portal, whose records related to appointment have to be made available to the monitoring department for checking. It may be noted that in compliance with the order given by the Patna High Court on December 6, 2016, the certificates of all the teachers appointed under the Panchayati Raj Institute and Municipal Corporation Institute during the period from 2006 to 2015 are to be monitored. Even after about four and a half years of this order, about such 3.Â
Out of 10 lakh teachers, the planning folders of 1 lakh 3 thousand 917 teachers were not available. In May, when the Education Department asked all the DEOs to upload the details of such teachers on the website of the NIC of the district, the names of 88 thousand such teachers were also exposed, whose investigation is yet to be done. Between March and June 15, due to the receipt of folders of 15 thousand teachers, this number has reached from one lakh to 88 thousand.
