To sign up on your Fire device, download the Paramount+ app via Amazon. Once you’ve downloaded the app:
- Launch Paramount+.
- Select “Sign Up”
- Choose a subscription plan, and tap “Continue.” You’ll be prompted to create an account.
- On the Sign Up screen, enter your full name, email address and password of your choice. Your email address and password will be your Paramount+ login.
- Tap “Next” and confirm your Amazon billing information.
You can now stream Paramount+ at paramountplus.com/firetv/qr.
Stream Paramount+ on your Fire TV (existing subscribers)
Once you have added the Paramount+ app, there are two ways to sign in:
On your TV
- Go to Settings > Sign In Options.
- Select Sign In > On my TV.
- Enter the email address and password you used when subscribing to Paramount+ (not your Amazon email address and password) and select Sign In.
On paramountplus.com
- Go to Settings > Sign In Options.
- Select Sign In > On paramountplus.com.
- You’ll be presented with a website and a code. Make a note of this code—you’ll need it for the next step.
- Visit paramountplus.com/firetv on your computer or mobile device, enter your activation code, and select “Submit”. If you’re not signed in to Paramount+ on your computer, you’ll need to do so here.
- Your screen will refresh, and you can start streaming on your Fire TV.
Upgrade to Premium
If you signed up for Paramount+ on your TV, use these steps to upgrade your plan:
- From the Menu, select Settings, then Manage Account. You’ll see your subscription plan information.
- Select your Paramount+ subscription, and choose the Premium plan. If you switch plans in the middle of a free trial, you’ll lose the remainder of your free trial and will be billed immediately.
You can now begin streaming Premium!
Note: If you originally signed up for Paramount+ on another platform or billing system (paramountplus.com, Apple Store, Roku, etc.), you’ll be prompted to return to that platform to change your plan.
Switch to Essential
If you signed up for Paramount+ on your TV, use these steps to switch your plan to Essential (PLEASE NOTE that the Limited Commercials plan has been discontinued, and if you switch to the Essential plan, you will NO LONGER HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR LOCAL LIVE CBS STATION).
- From the menu, select Settings. You’ll see your current subscription plan info.
- Select Manage Subscription, and the new subscription plan info will be displayed.
- Select Subscribe. You’ll see a confirmation screen that indicates your subscription has been switched.
- Select Close to return to the home screen. If you switch plans in the middle of a free trial, you’ll lose the remainder of your free trial and will be billed immediately.

Force close the Paramount+ (app crashing)
If the app crashes, you can easily resolve this and other streaming issues with these steps:
- From the Amazon home screen select Settings, then Applications.
- Select Manage Installed Applications, then click the Paramount+ app.
- Click Force Stop, then Launch Application to restart your device. You can now resume streaming!
Update to the latest Paramount+ app version
If you’re having trouble streaming, check to ensure you’re running the latest version of the Paramount+ app with these steps:
From the Amazon home screen:
- Highlight the Paramount+ app (do not open it).
- On the remote, click the Menu button (3 horizontal lines).
- Click “More Info.” Note: If an update is available, you’ll see an “Update” button, then click “Update.”
- Click “Update App Now.” You’ll see the “downloading” indicator, then “Installing.” Once complete, the app will be updated to the latest version.
