How do I check the balance on my GameStop gift card?
In order to check the balance of a GameStop gift card, you’ll need the card’s unique number and the personal identification number (PIN), both of which can be found on the card’s reverse side.
Both numbers are located on the back of your gift card or PowerUp Rewards™ Card. For digital gift certificates, you can find the card number and PIN in the email that was delivered to you. Enter your card number and PIN on the Balance Inquiry page to check your available balance.
Balance inquiries require the 19-digital card number and 4-digit PIN.
Gift cards purchased from GameStop GiftCards.com cannot be replenished. The card is no longer valid once its balance has been exhausted. Keep the gift card until you know for sure that the products you bought with it won’t need to be returned.
What are points?
Points are the currency of the PowerUp Rewards program. Pros can earn 20 points per dollar on almost everything they buy. Pros can redeem points for coupons. For example, Pros can redeem 5,000 points for a $5 off one single item coupon. That means the 5,000 points you get for renewing are worth $5 in rewards, and the 20 points earned per dollar spent is like getting 2% back in rewards.
How do I earn points?
As a PowerUp Rewards Pro Member, you can earn points on all your purchases in-store and online. Make sure you are signed into your account when making online purchases on GameStop.com. Pros earn 20 points per $1 spent, excluding gift cards and other non-eligible purchases.
Visit the Rewards Center within the My Account section online to redeem points for coupons you can use in-store or online. You may also talk to a store associate when at a GameStop store. You can redeem points for many things, including redeeming as little as 1,000 points for a $1 Reward Certificate.
A gift card is like cash. If lost or stolen, it cannot be replaced without the original sales receipt or a receipt from a transaction the card was used on. These receipts will have the card’s account number and the amount on the card. For online transactions, you can use a printout of the order confirmation that the card was used on. In either case, a store associate will contact our Document Control Department with that information so the amount can be transferred to a new card.
Physical gift cards are sold on GameStop.com and in US GameStop stores. If ordered from GameStop.com, physical gift cards are delivered via First Class U.S. Mail within one to two weeks. Digital gift certificates are sold on GameStop.com and can be redeemed online at GameStop.com or redeemed in US GameStop stores. Digital gift certificates are delivered via email within 48 hours of processing (excluding major holidays), and can also include a gift message.
Just enter the card or account number and PIN on the payment page during the checkout process. To use your gift card, trade credit, or PowerUp Rewardsâ„¢ card online, it must have a scratch-off PIN. This PIN is located on the back of eligible gift cards. If your gift card does not have a four-digit PIN along with the 19-digit Gift Card number, you can only use the gift card at a GameStop store. The digital gift certificate number and PIN can be found in the email sent to the recipient.
