Sexiest Man Alive 2022 : People magazine named Chris Evans the sexiest man alive
Chris Evans may have hung up Captain America’s shield, but he now wears a new badge of honour: he is the Sexiest Man Alive, according to People magazine. On Monday night, both the People website and Stephen Colbert’s late-night programme declared the winner.
Evans succeeds Paul Rudd, another Avenger, who served as Captain America for almost ten years in Marvel’s epic superhero movies. He told the magazine for the cover story, which hits newsstands on Friday,
“My mum will be really delighted.” She is proud of everything I do, but she can really take pride in this. He is also aware that his close buddies will probably make fun of him. He quipped in an interview that “really this will just be a point of bullying.”
“Harassment is ready to happen.” Co-stars and recent Sexiest Man Alive winners like Rudd, Ryan Reynolds, and Chris Hemsworth are among those who might heckle him. (Hemsworth, who plays Thor in the Marvel movies, was the first Avenger to win this year’s People Award; Mel Gibson received it in 1985.)
John Legend, Dwayne Johnson, Idris Elba, Adam Levine, Richard Gere, Channing Tatum, and David Beckham are among other awardees from the past. Evans, 41, was interviewed by reporters at a farmhouse in Georgia where he discussed striking a better work-life balance. Right now, he remarked, “feeling secure enough to take my foot off the gas is the most gratifying component of my profession.”
Evans played the superhero Johnny Storm in two “Fantastic Four” movies that were released in 2005 and 2007. His first film appearance was in 2000’s “The New Comers.” However, he became incredibly well-known in 2011 once “Captain America: The First Avenger” came out.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Knives Out actor will play Johnson’s opposite in the Christmas movie Red One for Amazon Studios. The film is marketed as an action-adventure comedy that reimagines the holiday genre and is based on an original story by Hiram Garcia, president of production at Seven Bucks. Lucy Liu, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, J. K. Simmons, Nick Kroll, Kiernan Shipka, and Kristofer Hivju are among the cast members.
Evans recently voiced Buzz Lightyear in the Pixar animated feature Lightyear, and he also starred in the Netflix action movie The Gray Man, which is based on the 2009 suspense novel. In addition, he will play Gene Kelly in an untitled picture based on a concept by Evans, which he will both star in and produce, and work with Emily Blunt in David Yates’ Pain Hustlers.
