To Activate your United Healthcare Medicare Card, login into https://member.uhc.com/medicare/ or Call Social Security at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY users 1-800-325-0778), Monday through Friday, from 7a.m. to 7p.m.

Your UnitedHealthcare UCardâ„¢ is your member ID and much more. UCard Hub can be used to unlock access to the rewards, gym membership and credits for OTC products included with your plan. UCard provides a simpler experience for using your benefits and programs.

UCard helps Medicare Advantage including Dual Special Needs Plan members unlock the benefits and programs included with their health plan. UCard combines many member benefit and reward programs into a simpler experience. Your UnitedHealthcare UCard is a simple way to unlock the benefits and programs of your Medicare Advantage plan. 

Use your UCard when you:

  • Visit a provider like your Primary Care Provider (PCP) or dentist.
  • Fill a prescription.
  • Check in at the gym.
  • Buy healthy food and over-the-counter products.
  • Pay utility bills.
  • Spend your earned rewards.

UCard Hub

Members can view and manage their benefits and rewards online in the UCard Hub section of the UnitedHealthcare plan website and mobile app to do things like: 

  • Check benefit balances and available rewards.
  • Find participating stores.
  • Shop online or view a list of covered OTC products and healthy food.
  • Pay utility bills.
  • Get answers to common questions and more.

How to: Enroll in Medicare Part A and Part B

Some people are automatically enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B. Some people are not.

You’ll be automatically enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B if:

  • You’re receiving Social Security or Railroad Retirement Board benefits when you turn 65; or
  • You’re eligible for Medicare because of a disability or medical condition.

You must enroll yourself in Medicare Part A and B if:

  • You’re not receiving Social Security benefits when you become eligible for Medicare. 

How to enroll in Medicare Part A and Part B yourself

There are three ways to enroll yourself in Medicare Part A and Part B:

  1. Online at www.SocialSecurity.gov  .
  2. Call Social Security at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY users 1-800-325-0778), Monday through Friday, from 7a.m. to 7p.m.
  3. In-person at your local Social Security office.

After you enroll, watch for your Medicare card in the mail in about three weeks.
