An Authorization Code is a security feature that adds an extra layer of protection when you log onto you online card account, especially if you are using a public computer. Once you enter your card number and password:
- An email with an Authorization Code will automatically be sent to the email address that we have on file.
- Enter the authorization code on the screen when prompted.
- You will be asked if you want to have your access device remembered (computer, mobile phone, etc.).
- If you are using a private and secure computer, you may select “Remember this machine.” The computer or device you are using will be recognized the next time you log in and you will not need an Authorization Code unless you use a different device.
- If you are using a shared computer or one that is not secure, select “Do Not Remember” You will need an Authorization Code each time you log in.
If your Authorization Code does not work, type in the Authorization Code from your email following the guidelines below:
- Be sure to type the code exactly as provided, paying attention to upper and lower case letters.
- Do not type any spaces or periods.
- If you copy and paste the Authorization Code, make sure you are not copying and pasting a space or period.
- If you continue having trouble, call the number on the back of your card for assistance.

To get started, log into https://onlinebanking.usbank.com/Auth/Login and follow these steps:
- Select Customer Service from the top menu bar and then select Self Service.
- Select Activate Debit/ATM Card under the Debit Card & ATM Card section.
- Input the card information and follow the prompts to complete the activation.

- From the main menu select Manage cards.
- Select the card requiring activation.
- Select Activate Card. If you have multiple cards awaiting activation, choose the one you’d like to activate and select Continue.

Once you are logged into your account dashboard, select the Menu icon in the upper left of the page, then choose Manage cards
Select the card you would like to add, then choose Add to Digital wallets
- If the card has not been added it will give you the option to “Add to digital wallet”.
- If the card has already been added it will advise “Added”.
Set up automatic payment
Once you’ve set up automatic payment, we’ll provide you a confirmation page to review. We’ll tell you when your first automatic payment will start, the autopay details that were selected, and a reminder to pay the current month’s payment due. To get started, choose the experience that works best for you.

- Select Bill payments at the top of the page, then choose Pay bills & U.S. Bank accounts.
- Locate the account you want automatically paid, then select Show details.
- The details are displayed on the right side of the page. Select Autopay set up now.
- Provide the following information. Once done, select Start autopay. We encourage you to review the terms of service before selecting Start autopay.
- Amount:Â Choose how much to pay. Options include minimum payment, statement balance, minimum payment with extra, or other amount.
- Date:Â Choose when you’d like the payment to be delivered. This is considered the day the payment is made (i.e., transaction date).
- Account:Â If you have more than one account on file, select the one you’d like the payment to pull from.
