How To Activate ICICI Credit Card
To activate your new ICICI Credit Card, Login to iMobile > Click on ‘Cards & Forex’ > Choose your Credit Card > Click on ‘Manage Card’ and click on ‘Edit’ > Enable International/Online/Tap & Pay transactions.
Activating your ICICI Bank Credit Card is quite straightforward. Here are the steps you can follow:
1. Online/Contactless/International Transactions Activation:
- As per RBI guidelines, these transactions are disabled at the time of card issuance.
- To enable them, you can use either iMobile Pay or Internet Banking:
- iMobile Pay:
- Log in to iMobile Pay.
- Click on ‘Cards & Forex.’
- Choose your Credit Card.
- Click on ‘Manage Your Card.’
- Enable International/Online/Tap & Pay transactions.
- Internet Banking:
- Log in to Internet Banking.
- Click on ‘Cards & Loans.’
- Select ‘Credit Card.’
- Click on ‘Manage your card.’
- Under ‘Manage Credit Card Usage,’ click on ‘Edit.’
- Enable International/Online/Tap & Pay transactions.
- Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number to complete the process.

2. Generate Credit Card PIN:
- You can create or change your Credit Card PIN using either Internet Banking or iMobile Pay:
- Internet Banking:
- Log in to ICICI Bank Internet Banking.
- Select ‘Credit Card’ from Cards and Loans.
- Choose ‘Generate Credit Card PIN Online.’
- Enter your Card details and CVV.
- Submit the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
- Set your new PIN.
- iMobile Pay:
- Log in to iMobile Pay.
- Select ‘Cards & Forex.’
- Choose your card.
- Click on ‘Generate PIN.’
- Set your Credit Card PIN.
- Internet Banking:
- You can create or change your Credit Card PIN using either Internet Banking or iMobile Pay:
3. Interactive Voice Response (IVR):
- Call 1800 1800 and follow the instructions to activate your Credit Card.
Remember, whether you choose Customer Care assistance, Internet Banking, or iMobile Pay, you can activate your Credit Card easily in just a few minutes! 🌟
If you have applied for a credit card through our website, you can track the status by clicking on “Track Application Status”
You will then be asked to enter information such as your application Id, Mobile number, PAN and Date of Birth. If these details match with what we have in our records, you will be able to see the status of your credit card application.
Activating Credit Card Online
To activate your new Credit Card, we request you to call our Customer Care between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm from your registered mobile number. To know the Customer Care numbers, please click here.
Most of the banks allow you to activate your Credit card by generating its PIN from the nearest ATM of the bank. However, some banks allow you to do it online too. If your bank offers this feature as well, follow these steps for activating your ATM card:
- Visit the official Internet Banking website of your bank and log in with your User ID and Password which you might have received in the welcome kit.
- Once logged in, look for the Generate ATM PIN option and select “Generate Now”.
- You will now be asked to enter your 16-digit ATM card number along with the 3-digit CVV which is mentioned at the back of your new Credit card.
- Submit these details to receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
- Enter the OTP, and you can now set a 4-digit PIN for your card.
- Once you have successfully configured the ATM PIN, you can now use your ATM card for withdrawing money from ATMs and offline transactions.
Some of the banks now also allow you to set ATM PIN through their official mobile apps.
Generating 3D Secure PIN
While ATM withdrawal and offline transactions can be done with the Credit card and ATM PIN, you will need something known as 3D Secure PIN for online transactions. Here is how you can set this 3D Secure PIN for using online ATM card:
- If you are doing an online purchase, select “Credit Card” as the payment option and enter your Credit Card details
- As you will be using your Credit card online for the first time, you will be redirected to the 3D Secure registration page automatically
- On this page, you can set your 3D Secure PIN either by entering your ATM PIN or by receiving an OTP on your mobile number
- Once you enter your ATM PIN or OTP, you will be asked to select a 6-digit 3D Secure PIN
- Submit this PIN and re-enter it to confirm your choice
- You can now use your ATM card for online transactions too
- You will be asked to enter this 6-digit PIN every time you make online payments through your Credit Card
How do I upgrade my Credit Card?
You can upgrade your credit card through the following channels.
Internet Banking: Login to www.icicibank.com and go to Customer Service > Service Requests > Credit Card > More > Apply for a Credit Card > Upgrade Credit Card.
iMobile Pay: Login to iMobile Pay app and go to Services > Cards Services > Upgrade Credit Card
Alternatively, You may call our customer care on 1860 120 7777 between 07:00 am to 09:00 pm to upgrade your credit card.
How do I use my credit card?
To use your credit card at merchant outlet, please follow the following instructions:
- The merchant will dip your card at a PIN enabled POS terminal
- The merchant will enter the amount to be paid by you
- The POS terminal will prompt for the PIN
- Enter your 4 digit Credit Card PIN on the POS terminal. Pull out the card once the transaction is complete
To use your credit card for online transaction, please follow the following instructions:
- Make sure you are using a secure site while making payments through the Internet. Look for a lock icon in the status bar of your web browser. This icon indicates that a site is employing an encryption technology during the transmission of your sensitive data.
- Never respond to phishing e-mails that falsely claim to be from a bank and ask you to disclose your personal and bank related confidential details. ICICI Bank will never ask you to send your personal banking details.
- Get yourself enrolled for 3D Secure (Verified by Visa (VbV)/ MasterCard SecureCode (MCSC)). This is now mandatory for carrying out online transactions.
- Avoid accessing your Internet banking account on unsecured public computers (e.g. internet cafes).
- Once you have completed your online banking transactions, remember to log-off by clicking on the “log-off” option. Close your browser and lock your computer if it is left idle.
How do I check the application status of my Credit Card?
a) Once you have submitted your application online, you can track the status of your credit card here.
b) To track the status, you may also call ICICI Customer Care at 1800 102 0123 from your registered mobile number.
c) In case your application is approved or rejected, you will get an email from ICICI verifying the same. In case of rejection, you will receive an email from ICICI bank from email address “amzcbcc@icicibank.com” with subject line “Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card Application <Application Number>”.
How will I get the Personal Identification Number (PIN) for the card?
The PIN will be sent through SMS on your registered mobile number. You can also generate your PIN by using any one of the following options:
a) Using Interactive Voice Response System (IVR) by calling our toll-free number 1800 102 0123/ 1860 120 7777.
b) Using iMobile app (Go to Services & Aadhar > Card Services > Generate Credit Card PIN).
c) Log in to Internet Banking > Generate PIN > Credit Card PIN > Generate Now.
