If you are having issues using a FOX app on your connected device, there are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:

Apple TV:

Apple TV (app crashing, videos not loading, etc.), please first determine which model of Apple TV you are using. FOX apps are available on Apple TV enabled with tvOS software (4th generation or later).

foxsports

Apple TV (4th generation or later):

To get started, we would suggest force closing the app and relaunching it. To do so:

  1. Double tap on the TV button on your Apple TV remote.
  2. Navigate to the FOX App and swipe up to close the app.
  3. Re-select the app to open it and see if the issue is resolved.

Ensure you have a fast enough connection:

Let’s make sure there isn’t an issue with your internet connection. If there are other applications you use with your connected device, test them out. If the issue is exclusive to a FOX app, we suggest running a test of your internet connection speed. To do so:

  1. On a computer connected to the same network as your connected device, please visit speedtest.net.
  2. You’ll see a map, and on the map, click the green button that says Begin Test.
  3. You’ll see results for download speed, upload speed and ping. We recommend a download speed of at least 1.0 megabits per second (mbps) for a consistent stream.

If your speed is above our recommendation, please perform a full power cycle. This means unplugging your connected device from the power source, as well as the router and modem you use to connect to the internet. After about 30 seconds, plug everything back in, and try streaming with the app once again.

If none of the steps above fixed the issue, please see if uninstalling and reinstalling the FOX app will help.

As a final step to resolving your steaming issues, we’d like to make sure your connected device firmware is fully up to date. Please see the instructions for your connected device to see how to check your firmware for an update.

DNS Reset for Apple TV only:

For a more advanced step, you can also reset the DNS (Domain Name System) on your device.

Websites:

Try to clear your browser cache to see if this will resolve your issue. These are the temporary files that your web browser stores, that can often slow things down.

Most browsers have a Private or Incognito window available to open. These are a version of your browser that do not involve your past browsing history, add-ons, or temporary files, and do not save them for future use. Try using a Private or Incognito Window, if you have and this does not work please open up a regular browser window and try streaming the same video again.
