Access HR and Payroll Self Service. Enter your Login ID and type in (or copy & paste) the Temporary Password received in the text message. Select Log on and you are logged in to HR and Payroll Self Service.

Setting up a HR and Payroll Self Service account

If you are a new employee you will receive an email with details on how to log on.

If you were employed before April 2023 follow the steps below to activate your HR and Payroll Self Service account:

Go to Health Shared Services Self Service portal
Select the Registration tab, and then select HSE Staff Registration from the drop-down menu
Enter your SAP personnel number and select next
Enter your email address and select next
An email will be sent to the email address with which you have registered.
Check your emails and click on the link to complete the portal registration.
Once logged into the Health Shared Services Self Service portal, select the HSE online form tab and select Self Service-NiSRP.
Select the account activation type (employee, manager or retiree) (note: managers must complete an employee account activation form and a manager account activation form).
Complete the form and select submit.
A ‘submission completed successfully’ message will appear on screen. You will receive an email confirming your details have been received
You will receive an email from the SAP security team within 2 working days containing your self service account log-in details and instructions.

Logging into HR and Payroll Self Service for the first time

Your login ID starts with E plus your 8-digit personnel number. If you don’t know your personnel number you will find it printed on your payslip.

Managers’ login ID is the letter M plus your personnel number.

Retirees login ID is the letter R plus your personnel number (R********)

How to log into HR and Payroll Self-Service for the first time from a HSE device (For Employees and Managers only)

Follow these steps to get set up for the first time and to set your password.

Access HR and Payroll Self Service
Select the Password Reset option
Enter your Logon ID. This is your personnel number preceded by E and mobile number in the format 353 87*******.
Select Reset
Enter your Logon ID and type in (or copy & paste) the Temporary Password received in the text message.
Select Log on
Enter the Old Password. This is the Temporary Password sent to your mobile number. Enter a new password and confirm this. The password must be at least 8 characters long with a requirement for one uppercase letter, one number, and a special character for example $&!.
Select Change
Your password is now changed and you are logged in to HR and Payroll Self Service

Devices you can use to access HR and Payroll Self Service

You can access HR and Payroll Self-Service on your:

work or personal computer
mobile phone or tablet

When logging in from a personal device, you will be sent a 8 digit verification code via text message to your mobile phone. This is a security step, similar to the process used in online banking.

If you do not have a mobile phone number, you will continue to receive the verification code to your email.

For security reasons, managers must access HR & Payroll Self Service using a HSE device.
