How do I activate my Verizon Visa Card?

How do I retrieve my card from the sleeve?
To retrieve your card from the cardboard sleeve:
- Orient the credit card box vertically with the tear tab to your right.
- Pull the tear tab down towards your body and then lift the lid open like a book.
- At the top of the open box (the side farthest away from your body), locate the access hole or lift tab.
- Using the hole, remove the cardboard sleeve from within the box.Note: The sleeve can be identified by the embossed Verizon checkmark located on the bottom left of the sleeve when the package is oriented vertically
- With one hand gripping the bottom of the sleeve containing the checkmark, and your other hand gripping the top portion of the sleeve, gently pull the sleeve apart
- Your card is inside a textured envelope

How do I earn Verizon Dollars with my Verizon Visa Card?
When you’re approved for the Verizon Visa Card you’ll start earning rewards on qualifying purchases as part of the Verizon Visa Card Rewards Program.
When you use the Verizon Visa Card just as you would any other credit card, you earn a percentage of the purchase in Verizon Dollars1:
- 4% on gas and grocery store purchases
- 3% on dining purchases, including take-out and delivery
- 2% on Verizon purchases
- 1% on all other purchases where Visa credit cards are accepted.
For example, if you spend $100 at a grocery store using your Verizon Visa Card, you automatically earn 4% in Verizon Dollars. There’s no limit on the amount of Verizon Dollars you can earn for purchases.
