Admissions for Postgraduate Courses at Kerala’s Digital University have begun.
Admissions to postgraduate courses at the Digital University Kerala have begun (DUK). DUK, which bills itself as the country’s first digital university, announced in a press release that admissions to its first batch of MTech and MSc programmes have begun.
DUK, which is based in Technocity in Thiruvananthapuram, offers postgraduate on-campus courses in “cutting-edge areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Data Analytics, Cyber Security, Ecological Informatics, Geospatial Analytics, and others that cater to the demands of Industry 4.0,” according to a press release.
According to the release, the varsity’s AICTE-approved Masters programmes include MTech in Computer Science and Engineering with specialisations in Connected Systems and Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, and Cyber Security Engineering.
The university also stated in its release that it has cutting-edge lab facilities and innovation centres such as ThingQbator, Maker Village, and Kerala Blockchain Academy that will allow students to gain hands-on experience in a variety of innovative projects.
“Top-performing students will be able to apply for paid internships in real-world projects undertaken by the university beginning in the third semester. The university’s merit-cum-means scholarships will be available to deserving students in all MSc programmes who do not have any other scholarships or financial assistance. Students have access to residential facilities on campus “According to the university’s press release.
According to the release, the Kerala Government established DUK after upgrading the 20-year-old Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Kerala (IIITM-K) through an ordinance introduced in January 2020.
