The Institute had previously announced the examination format and structure for the BSc Nusring Entrance Exam, which was set to take place on June 27, 2021. According to the announcement, the exam will be held on a computer and will be conducted in English. The exam will last two hours, or 120 minutes, and hopefuls will have to answer 100 questions. The AIIMS BSc (H) Nursing Exam 2021 will include objective questions with multiple choice solutions. The exam will be graded +1 for each correct answer and -1 for each erroneous response, according to the marking scheme.

- Candidates should have cleared class 12 exams or an equivalent exam from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects.
- Candidates of the general category should have secured a minimum of 55 per cent in aggregate in class 12 and SC/ST category candidates should have secured 50 per cent in aggregate
BSc Paramedical Eligibility
- Candidates should have passed the class or an equivalent exam from a recognized board/university having Physics, Chemistry, English and either Biology or Maths subjects
- Candidates from the General/EWS/OBC category should have secured a minimum of 50 per cent in aggregate in class 12 and SC/ST category candidates should have secured 45 per cent in aggregate
