BH number plate: Why did India introduce new vehicle number plate Bharat Series? All advantages, date of release
The BH number range is the official number range in India very soon as this makes it easy for people to transfer their car from one country to another.
In this article we shared details of how you can use the new number plate of the bh Series and the criteria and benefits for your eligible membership.
The Ministry of Road transport has initiated a new initiative for the well-being of vehicle users and has to transfer the vehicle’s registration number to another Member State if they move into a new state.
The government will now provide a permanent bh-series registration mark on the plates in order to overcome the problem of vehicle transfer.
This will save people time and money and will allow a hassle free transfer of vehicles.
The new BH series registration system for vehicles is fully online without complicated red tape for the vehicle owner.
From 15 September this year it will come into force.
The Government has requested that the vehicles with the BH registration mark be re-registered in a new State once relocated, as amended by Article 47 of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules of 1989.
Who can get this facility?
Eligibility is provided to anyone who is an employee of the government/PSU, state or centre. An employee of a firm in at least four states is eligible to voluntarily obtain the BH number in the private sector. She must submit a valid online job ID/proof by filling up Form 60. The state authorities check the evidence and then assign the registration of the BH. The registration number is produced by computer randomly.
