Epic Games Download Speed 0 : How to Fix?
Epic Games Download Speed 0 : How to Fix?
If you a problem with Epic Games Launcher downloads/updates like slow downloads or Download Speed is 0 or making your PC crash then this might help you. After lots of research I found a solution for this problem.
The reason that this happens is because of HDD, the epic games launcher will download and install at the same time and HDD is making it very slow even when your install location is not in HDD. I have two SSD and one HDD, I tried to download after disabling the HDD, the download speed spiked up to the max speed and I didn’t had any issues with the download and install at the same time. So please try this if you run in to this problem.
In the epic games launcher, Go to settings, click Throttle Downloads set it to a big number like 100,000. I was getting 0.4 -1 MB’s before doing that. Bumped up to 10 MB’s after.
That’s the only thing I changed. Play around with the number. 200,000 actually gave me worse speed. I know it shouldn’t work. It’s supposed to do the opposite of increase speed.
