To activate your Gabb device, Pull your new phone out of the box and plug it in using the included charging cord. You’re ready to get started! Your device is active and now needs to be paired with the parent MyGabb App!
Before you even turn your phone on, you’ll notice lots of buttons, lights and holes. Take a minute to compare your phone to these pictures. Can you find the speaker on your phone? How about the front camera? Where will you plug in your phone’s charging cord?
Activation Fee: All new Devices are subject to an activation fee of $30 which is non-refundable (“Activation Fee”).
Getting started with your new line Gabb Watch 3 ordered at gabb.com
You’ll need a few things:
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Your Amazon order number
- Your Gabb Watch 3’s IMEI
- Your billing information
- Enable bluetooth on your parent smartphone
- On your parent smartphone, Download the MyGabb App from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android)
- Existing customer? Make sure you update your MyGabb App in the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android) as our pairing process has been updated
- Log into the MyGabb App using your Gabb Account credentials. This is the username and password you use to log into your parent Gabb Account. This is the email and password you used to set up your account during your initial order
- Now that you have logged into your MyGabb App, select Add Device and select Gabb Watch 3
- Enter the child (the watch user’s) information
- If your Gabb Watch 3 is powered on and Bluetooth is enabled on your parent smartphone, your smartphone will detect the Gabb Watch 3 – select the Gabb Watch 3 and click Select Device, then click Confirm and Connect, then click Next!
- Create your child’s Gabb ID. This will automatically log your child into Gabb ID on their watch once pairing is complete. A child Gabb ID is your child’s secure user profile that will allow their settings and more to be backed up in Gabb Cloud and will allow your child’s watch to function properly
- Connect the new Gabb Watch 3 to your Wi-Fi network in the parent MyGabb App. Connecting to Wi-Fi helps the watch get more accurate locations and will allow for critical software updates to be performed, including adding new apps to your child’s watch
- Add previously created Safe Zones or create new ones in the parent MyGabb App. Safe Zones alert you when your child enters or leaves a designated area and enable improved GPS locations
- You’re all paired!
Now that your Gabb Watch 3 is paired to your parent MyGabb App you can add up to 100 approved contacts that your child can call and text.
How do I set up Gabb ID?
- Open the Gabb ID App
- Click on the “Create a Gabb ID” button.
- Enter a username and password.
- Enter verification code. This code is sent to the parent/account holder email. This is the Parent Gabb Account – the email that was first setup during the initial checkout experience with Gabb.
- Finish setup
Getting started with your Gabb Watch 3 that is a replacement or upgrade for an existing line
- Log in at gabb.com/account
- Select the old device being replaced (view details)
- Select “Swap SIM”
- Enter in the 20 digit ICCID number of the new watch. It will be found on the packaging (retail box) of your new device
Turning on and unlocking your phone
Turn on your phone by pressing any button, and then tapping the Power button on the screen
Your phone screen will go dark and lock after you stop using it for a few seconds. This makes your phone’s battery last longer. It also makes sure you don’t accidentally open any apps when your phone is in your pocket or backpack
To unlock your phone, press the power button on the side of the phone, then hold
and swipe up. You can lock your phone again by pressing the power buttonYou can also open your camera app from the lock screen. Tap and hold
, then swipe away from the icon.There are some ways you can prevent other people from unlocking your Gabb Phone. You can set a password, PIN, unlock pattern or fingerprint.
