goapphelp.discovery com : About the Dicovery GO Apps and Websites
The all-new GO apps and websites allow you to catch up with your favorite shows from the Discovery family of networks anytime, anywhere. Access shows and episodes from up to 15 networks in one app or website – free with your pay-TV subscription.
The GO apps are free to download and include unlocked content you can watch on your favorite devices. However, to access the live stream and all on-demand content, you’ll need to sign in with your pay-TV provider.
Link your pay-TV provider (cable, satellite, telco, live TV streaming service) to stream shows live and on-demand – plus see new episodes on the app the same day and time they premiere on TV.
Supported Browsers & Devices
The Discovery family of GO apps is available on the following devices. Please note that not all TV providers support the GO apps on all devices.
Our content is available on most smartphones, tablets, and desktop computers. Along with apps for most connected devices such as Apple TV, Fire TV, Samsung Tizen, Roku, and Amazon Fire Smart TVs. Keep in mind that older devices and operating systems may not be compatible with our apps.
Please note: Beginning on October 19, 2021, the GO apps will no longer be available on Samsung Smart TVs from model years 2015-2016. However, you can still enjoy the GO apps on Samsung TVs, model years 2017 and newer, as well as many other connected devices.

Finding your TV Provider When Linking
If your TV Provider is not among the current list of partners, this is because we are currently working things out with your TV provider to offer you full access to the content. However, in the meantime, there is still free content you can watch without signing in! Please check out the Unlocked Episodes and Unlocked Seasons that are available.
Unable to find saved shows and episodes after updating GO app
If you recently updated your GO app to the latest version, you’ll need to repopulate My List with new series and episodes, as they won’t carry over from the old version of the app.
When you link the GO apps with your pay TV provider, you’ll always find hundreds of episodes from current and past seasons of your favorite shows. For those without a pay TV subscription, there’s also an assortment of episodes available to watch without linking a TV provider.
You’ll find the greatest collection of shows and episodes from the Discovery family of networks on discovery+. A subscription to discovery+ gives you unlimited access to 55,000+ episodes – including current and past seasons of all your favorite shows, plus can’t-miss, exclusive original series you won’t find anywhere else.

The GO apps and websites are crashing or will not load
Oh no, that’s no good! Here are some steps that we think will help fix this issue. If the app still won’t load after trying these steps, please select ‘Submit a Request‘ above to open a troubleshooting ticket!
1. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app first, if you haven’t already done so
2. If that doesn’t work and you are using Android, try clearing data and cache on your device, below is a link that better explains how to do this.

Using Chromecast to Cast from your Device to your TV
After some testing, we found that restarting your casting session seems to help clear common issues. We also suggest that you select the program you wish to view, begin playing the program, and then cast.
Please follow the steps below to cast a show using Chromecast.
- Once the GO app is launched, choose a video to play
- As the video loads, a casting icon will appear in the upper right corner of the screen
- Tap the cast icon and a message will appear, asking where you would like the video to cast to
- After the connection is made, the video will begin playing on your TV from your mobile device
- You can Pause/Play the video through your mobile device for easy control
- Once you are done, tap the cast icon again to disconnect
Right now, Autoplay is not functional while using Chromecast. To continue to the next episode, stop casting and select the episode you are ready to watch. You can then restart your casting session.
Watching Locked, Live, and On-Demand Content
If you do not subscribe to a TV/streaming package with a participating TV provider, we have many episodes and even full seasons of some shows for free under our ‘Watch Unlocked Series’ or ‘Unlocked Episodes’ sections.
To watch all content that is offered, you would need to have an active subscription with one of our partnering TV providers and sign in to the app using the Username and Password associated with your TV provider’s account.
An internet provider will not permit you to gain access to the locked videos and live tv feed.
Currently, we are not offering in-app subscription purchases.
