How To Activate Lloyds Debit Card Online
How To Activate Lloyds Debit Card Online
When using your Lloyds debit card for the first time, you don’t need to activate it by online. If you have a contactless card, you will need to use your PIN for your first transaction. You can do this when making a payment in a shop or using a Cashpoint®.
Once you’ve done that, all future transactions can be contactless. For added security, every now and again you might be asked to enter your PIN.
What is a debit card?
Your debit card allows you to spend online and in shops for all sorts of goods and services, and takes the payment directly from your bank account. You’ll get one with most Lloyds Bank current accounts.
With a debit card, you can:
- book or buy online, in shops, or over the phone
- take out money from any Cashpoint® in the UK, or cash machines around the world.
- use your card worldwide, whenever you see the Visa symbol.
- make contactless payments with your debit card or even using Apple Pay or Google Pay up to the value of £100.
- Buy things online in just a few clicks with Visa Click to Pay
- spend safely with Visa Chargeback protection against fraud or issues with goods bought from retailers.
