How To Add Nintendo Account to Family Plan : https //accounts.nintendo.com/family
Purchasing a Nintendo Switch Online Family or Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack Family membership at accounts.nintendo.com/family provides the Nintendo Switch Online service to everyone in the purchaser’s Nintendo Account family group (up to 8 Nintendo Account users).
In this article, you’ll learn how to set up your free 7-day trial Nintendo Switch Online membership.
- When you start the free trial, auto-renewal will automatically be activated for an individual 30-day membership, to begin when the trial ends.
- A payment method for auto-renewal must be entered in order to start a free trial. If you cancel the auto-renewal before the 7-day trial period ends, you will not be charged.
- The Nintendo Account User Agreement, including the Purchase and Subscription terms, applies.
- When you use a credit card to set up automatic renewal, we may receive updated information from your issuing bank or applicable payment service provider about the credit card. This means we may update the saved credit card’s number and expiration date if it is replaced or it has expired. This helps ensure that your subscriptions automatically renew and your purchases complete successfully, even if your credit card information changes.
Nintendo Account users in countries where the Nintendo eShop is available can sign up for a free trial individual membership for Nintendo Switch Online.
- The free trial is available once per Nintendo Account.
- The free trial can’t be used with Nintendo Accounts that already have an active individual or family membership. However, it can be used after the end of your existing membership. (Note that your auto-renewal settings may need to be adjusted for your current membership.)
How To Add Nintendo Account to Family Plan :
- Select Nintendo eShop on the HOME Menu to launch the Nintendo eShop.
- Select the account you want to use
- Select Nintendo Switch Online on the left side of the screen
- Select Free Trial from the banner at the top of the screen.
- If this option does not appear, then you either already have an existing Nintendo Switch Online membership or you have already received the free trial.
- Choose the membership plan you want (Free Trial, 1-month individual plan, etc), then select a payment method when prompted.
- If you select Credit Card, enter the required credit card information when prompted.
- If you select PayPal, you will need to link your PayPal account to your Nintendo Account, if you have not already done so.
- The payment method you select will be set up to renew automatically when the 7-day trial ends. If you cancel the auto-renewal before the 7-day trial period ends, you will not be charged.
- Select Start Membership to begin your free 7-day trial.
Nintendo Switch Online Family Memberships
Purchasing a Nintendo Switch Online Family or Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack Family membership provides the Nintendo Switch Online service to everyone in the purchaser’s Nintendo Account family group (up to 8 Nintendo Account users).
- Family memberships can be purchased by anyone aged 18+.
- Family memberships can include members with Nintendo Accounts with different country settings, but keep in mind that not all features of the Nintendo Switch online service are available in all countries.
- Players using a family membership can access the Nintendo Switch Online service via the same Nintendo Switch system or multiple systems – everyone does not have to use the same system.
- Multiple users on the same console are not automatically covered by a family membership. If one player purchases a family membership, the others will still need to be added to the family group to use the service
- The Nintendo Switch Online membership will automatically apply to everyone in the family group, including people that are added to the group later
- The purchaser does not have to be the account admin for the group. However, only the account admin for the family group can add or remove people from the group
- If the person that purchased the family membership leaves the family group, the other members of the family group can no longer use the features of the Nintendo Switch Online service (including Save Data Cloud backup) until they become a member again
- If a person that did not purchase the family membership leaves the family group, they will no longer be covered by the service.
- Nintendo Accounts covered by a family membership cannot purchase or redeem a code for an individual membership.
- Family memberships cannot be combined with individual memberships to extend the membership term.
- If someone with an individual membership joins a group with a family membership, they will receive the service for the length of time that is longest – they will not receive both time-frames total.
