All applications are submitted ONLINE through the application portal (Admissions Portal) available on this website: www.kmtc.ac.ke. The prospective candidates apply for admission into courses for each academic year.
Selected candidates are then placed in any of the 71 KMTC Campuses located across the country.
Procedure:
• Prospective candidates are advised to visit the application portal, read the advertisement OR go through the College brochure Admissions Portal for more information on the various courses offered and their specific entry requirements.
• Interested and qualified candidates are then advised to READ the application guidelines (preservice/In-service) available on the application portal
• Candidates are advised to follow the steps given in the application guideline carefully to the end to ensure success in the application process.
• Take note that applications for the advertised courses are closed once they are full.
Please Note
All applicants to KMTC are advised to ensure that their applications are correctly done to give them an opportunity to compete fairly for available training vacancies.
Other areas to note are as follows;
1) KMTC has several courses at various levels with varying entry requirements, you are therefore required to read the advertisement or the College brochure carefully to ensure you apply correctly
2) Determine the course you would like to study and be sure you qualify.
3) Plan for your training at KMTC on time, funding and social support.
4) Be ready to take up your course, if successful, in any part of this country since our Campuses are spread all over the country.
5) Follow APPLICATION GUIDELINES and ensure you have applied in time and correctly.
6) Regularly check your email (the one used in the application process) for notifications from the College.
Entry Requirements
To join KMTC to pursue a Certificate course, you must have a minimum of C- with specific qualifications in cluster subjects in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examinations (KCSE). For Diploma programmes, you must have attained a minimum of C with specific qualifications in cluster subjects. Upgrading courses require that a candidate has a certificate in a respective field while for Higher Diploma programmes, candidates must have attained a Diploma course as per the following guidelines.
The following table is a summary of the requirements for courses offered:

2 | Diploma | KCSE mean grade of C (or equivalent) with relevant combination of other subjects such as English, Kiswahili, Biology, Biological Sciences, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Physical Sciences.

3 | Upgrading | Holders of a certificate in relevant fields and at least two years working experience.
| 2 years except Community Health Nursing which lasts 18 Months |
4 | Higher Diploma | Holders of basic Diploma in relevant fields and at least a minimum of two years working experience. | 1 year |
5 | Short Courses | Individuals and groups such as corporate bodies, companies and government ministries interested in any course or courses can make a written request for arrangements to be made.

The courses have continuously grown — from a handful to more than 70 currently — to meet the changing needs of the country’s health care system. The introduction of new courses is in line with the College’s strategy to keep abreast with market changes and the needs of the global community.
