The following are the steps you need to follow before applying for any course

1) Go to courses offered and choose one or two courses you would like to study

2) Get your latest academic results

3) Get your ID Copy / Study permit and passport copy if you are not a South African Citizen

4) Get a copy of your proof of residence

5) Get your next of kin ID Copy

6) If disabled, get your medical Certificate proving your disability

7) All your documents must be certified (Certified documents should not be older than 3 months)

8) Please note that, you can choose to send an application without supporting documents but you should upload the supporting documents on or before closing date of applications to avoid being automatically disqualified.

9) Kindly scan the documents as individual pdf files (in black and white) or visit your nearest Waterberg TVET College site to scan them for you

What is a National Certificate (Vocational) NC(V) qualification?

The NC(V) is a vocational programme at Level 2-4 of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and is offered by all public TVET Colleges countrywide. The NC(V) qualification is designed to provide both theory and practice, thus granting students an opportunity to gain work experience during the period of study

What are Report 191 (NATED) Programmes?

Learners who have completed a Grade 12 certificate with a minimum of a Higher Certificate achievement can consider studying further at a TVET College for a National Diploma. The Report 191 (NATED) programmes (also known as alternative post-school programmes) are available in Engineering, Business, Performing Arts, Utility and Educational Studies.

What are Occupational and Skills Programmes?

Occupational and Skills programmes include apprenticeships, learnerships and skills programmes. The focus of these programmes is geared towards preparing students for specific skills within a specific working environment related to a specific trade. Occupational and Skills programmes are offered at WATERBERG TVET College as full qualifications or accredited skills programmes.

Requirements to study Engineering

  • Pass Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science to study N1
  • Pass Grade 9/10/11/12 with Mathematics and Physical Science to study NC(V)
  • Business Studies

Pass Grade 12 to study N4 Pass grade 09/10/11/12 NC (V)

Minimum APS SCORE: 20

Where and how can I apply for a bursary?

Financial aid assistance is available to academically deserving and financially needy students in the form of: DHET TVET College bursaries for NC (V) and Report 191 NATED students and/or College bursaries. College bursaries are available to compliant students who do not qualify for the DHET TVET College bursaries, including: foreign students enrolled for NC (V) or Report 191 programmes; students enrolled for Occupational and other programmes ; financially needy students with academic potential and/or students with evidence of good academic performance. Bursaries will be awarded according to the College Bursary and Administration Policy
