To login into Instacart Account, go to https://www.instacart.com/login and enter the email address and password given at the time of registration.
You can start the signup process by completing the short form in the Shopper app or online  (U.S., Canada). The next steps in the process depend on the role you’re interested in.
Signing up to become a full-service shopper
Individuals interested in offering their services on Instacart as a full-service shopper can complete the entire signup process in the Shopper app or online (U.S., Canada).
If you don’t finish the process at once, you can pick up where you left off by opening the app or by logging in to the signup website (U.S., Canada) using your phone number. You can find the Log In button on the top left of the screen.
Applying to become an in-store shopper
Applicants interested in applying for an in-store shopper position can submit the form in the Shopper app or online. Local Instacart teams review form submissions, and once approved, you’ll get an email with next steps.
The next step for in-store shopper applicants is an in-person onboarding session. Choose a session from the times and dates available in the Shopper app or by clicking the link in the email. In-person sessions can fill up quickly, so please keep in mind—
- New times and dates are added each week, so check back often
- You can reschedule or cancel your session if you can’t make it
- Cancelling or rescheduling opens up that slot and makes it available for others
If your signup status shows as Awaiting Approval, that means the local Instacart team hasn’t reviewed your form yet.
Common signup problems and solutions
I see an error that my phone number or email is already taken.
You may have already started the signup process with us. Try selecting Log In (located in the upper right hand corner of the page) and entering your phone number.
I’m having trouble logging in.
- Make sure you’re on the correct website for the U.S. or Canada—
- In the U.S.:Â shoppers.instacart.com
- In Canada:Â shoppers.instacart.ca
- Check your cell reception and connectivity.
- Verify the phone number you’ve entered is correct.
- Make sure you have access to the device associated with that number to retrieve the confirmation code via text or phone call.
- If you don’t see a text message within a couple minutes, try Resend Code.
- You can also choose to have the system call you with an audio description of the code.
Deleting your shopper account
If you decide you don’t want to shop on the Instacart platform, you can delete your account. Deleting your account removes you from the platform entirely.
Here are a few things you should know—
- We’ll process your deletion request within 30 days once you submit it.
- Instacart retains personal information as required or permitted by law, in accordance with our Shopper Privacy Policy.
- If you delete your account and want to shop for Instacart in the future, you can’t use the same email address. You MUST use a new one.
Deleting your account
You can request to delete your account in the Privacy Management Portal in your Instacart Shopper app.
To open the portal—
- Open the app
- Tap the Account button (person icon) on the bottom right
- Tap Profile
- Tap Delete Account
You’ll receive an email from OneTrust with further instructions. Once you get the email, select Confirm in the email. Please do so within 7 days or you’ll have to submit another request to delete your account. Check your spam folder if you don’t see a OneTrust email in your inbox. Please email shopperprivacy@instacart.com if you never receive an email from OneTrust in your inbox or spam folder.
Note that Instacart will retain personal information associated with your account in order to comply with or as permitted by law, including information necessary to perform any services in connection with the closing of your account such as processing pending payments to you, or as otherwise required or permitted by law.
Account deletion requests are handled within 30 days. Deleting your account is permanent and irreversible.
