Make sure your mobile device is connected to the same WiFi as your Google device.
- Download and open the Google Home app.
- Tap Account in the top-right.
- Check the Google Account shown is the one linked to your Google Home or Google Nest device. To switch accounts, tap another account or Add another account
- Back on the home screen, tap + in the top-left, then Music and audio
- Select Spotify and tap Link Account, then Log in to Spotify

How do I use Spotify web player?
Access the Spotify Web Player
- Go to the Spotify Browse page.
- Select Log In. If you don’t have a Spotify account, select Sign Up and create a new account using either your email address or your Facebook account.
- Enter your username and password and select Login. Or, select Log In With Facebook.
Not working?
- Make sure your browser is up-to-date. Check and update it in your browser’s Help section.
- Try opening the web player in a private/incognito window.
- Some shared or public networks (e.g. schools/work/office) restrict access to certain services. You can contact those responsible for managing the network for more information.
If it’s still not working, try listening on the desktop app instead.
“Playback of protected content is not enabled” error message
If you see this message (or similar), you need to enable the Widevine plugin or download a media pack.
Note: Enabling the plugin requires no download and doesn’t compromise your online security.
