Go Paperless through MyPeoplesHealth!
An exciting feature of MyPeoplesHealth is that you can set preferences and choose to go paperless with some documents we normally mail to you. Sign up to get these documents electronically through your account instead of by mail. You’ll get them in a more convenient way and be friendly to the environment, too.
How does it work?
We can store electronic versions of many documents in your account for you to view, download and print. These include the Explanation of Benefits (information about services you receive), your Annual Notice of Changes and Evidence of Coverage plan documents, and other documents that become available electronically.
All you have to do is:
- Log in to your account
- Click the Electronic Preferences tab
- Check the category of documents you want to receive electronically, then click the Save button (note that when you select a category, you agree to receive all the documents in that category this way)

Over-the-Counter Items for You
Most Peoples Health Medicare Advantage plans offer an over-the-counter (OTC) items benefit, which varies by plan. If your plan has the benefit, we offer a specified credit amount to spend on approved items.
What OTC items are available?
Categories of covered OTC items include generic and brand-name products for allergy, sinus, cold and flu; pain relief; home health care and daily living, including bathroom safety items; supports, braces and wraps; dental and oral health; eye and ear care; first aid; smoking cessation; diabetes care; foot care; digestive health; incontinence; skin care; sleep aids; and vitamins. Products and prices may change at any time.
Shop in-store at participating retailers, including Walmart, or buy items online. Credit amounts vary by plan and expire at the end of a specified time frame. Shop for items as often as you want up to your plan’s available credit amount.
Local sales tax is added to purchases and deducted from your credit balance. Sales tax is based on your address and varies by parish.
How to Order
Use your UCard to easily buy approved items in-store at participating retailers. The second quick and easy way is to order items online through your member website or mobile app. You can check your credit balance, look up approved items, and scan an item’s UPC code (price code) with the app when shopping in-store to see if the item is covered.
