Raleigh Christmas Parade 2022 Route : What Time Does the Raleigh Christmas Parade Start

The prestigious privilege of going once more to take part in the 78th Raleigh Christmas Parade is bestowed upon the Raiders Marching Band.

Joshua Tew, the director of bands at Midway High School, expressed his excitement over being chosen once more for the Raleigh Christmas Parade. Years ago, the band did take part in this march. It’s great to be returning to Midway because I attended high school here, and we used to go there.

We are going to perform a version of “Sleigh Ride” along with a tonne of other holiday classics.

Midway will take part in the procession for the fifth year running this year. The fact that there will be unfamiliar faces there for the first time, according to Assistant Director of Bands Jesse Shelton, has his pupils even more excited.

Everyone is quite excited to go, he said, adding that some of the students who haven’t been with us this year may not really know what to anticipate. “I think getting invited to visit the state capitol as a band is a really huge event. Not every group has the opportunity to do that, so I’ve informed them that we are especially honoured to be there, and as a result, we will give it our all in this situation.

Shelton will be performing with his band in Raleigh for the second time in a row during his second year as Assistant Director of Bands. This time around, he values the accomplishment even more.

“Being a part of this is definitely helpful for me,” he declared. “I didn’t come here to establish something, but once more, it was great for me to be a part of it. It is a great honour for me to be able to bring these children here, and I feel really privileged to be able to do so.

It’s definitely a really good thing for me that I went to ECU and then returned to teach in North Carolina because I loved it so much.

Midway was the sole representative from Sampson County when they went last year, and they are once more this year. Shelton also discussed the significance of being able to represent Sampson once more for the Raiders community.

It’s undoubtedly a privilege to be invited, he declared. Since not many people are familiar with Sampson County, when we visit, people frequently inquire as to where or which school the incident occurred. People always want to know where our schools are because we’re bringing about 125 kids to participate in a fairly large ensemble.

Despite the fact that Shelton said, “We’re always trying to explain where it is, I think it’s a really good thing for our school and definitely for our county.” “It’s crucial to let people know where we are simply by making them aware of it. I believe we are on to something great, and I doubt that many people outside of this region are even aware of it. Therefore, having the opportunity to perform in the state capital is positive for both the county and the school.
