This tonight, Northeast Ohio is expected to be hit by severe storms. The following locations are under a tornado warning until 9 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
- Northern Richland County
- Southern Huron County
- Northern Ashland County
A massive, extremely dangerous tornado was spotted 15 miles north of Mansfield, over Plymouth, at 8:11 PM EDT, and was moving east at 40 mph.
This situation is quite risky.

THE EFFECT...There is a serious risk to your life right now. People caught without shelter could die from flying debris. Destroying mobile homes is inevitable. Complete devastation is conceivable, and houses, businesses, and cars are expected to sustain significant damage.
The National Weather Service warns that individuals without cover will be at risk from flying debris. Damage to or destruction of mobile homes is inevitable. Damage to roofs, windows, and cars may also occur in affected locations. Trees may also suffer damage.
Several northeastern Ohio counties are under a Tornado Watch that will be in effect until midnight tonight, according to the National Weather Service. Among these counties are:

- Erie
- Holmes
- Huron
- Lorain
- Medina
- Portage
- Richland
- Stark
- Summit
- Wayne
Tonight into Friday morning, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Extreme thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds, huge hail, and even tornadoes on rare occasions are not out of the question.
The hours of 6 p.m. to midnight will constitute the primary severe threat timeframe.
In the 10TV viewing area, a line of severe storms is expected to move southeastward from the northwest over Friday night into Saturday morning.
Tornadoes, strong winds, and big hail are all possible outcomes of a storm.
The storms have the potential to bring severe rainfall, which might cause flooding in some areas.
