visible.com Activate SIM New Phone : Visible Wireless eSIM Activation
When you try to activate the Visible App on your phone or at visible.com, you’ll be prompted to start Visible SIM activation. On-screen instructions and prompts will guide you through the Activation process, but here’s a preview of each step along the way.
How do I activate service on an iOS device using eSIM?
It’s pretty simple. Before you start:
- Make sure you’re activating an eSIM-compatible phone. Use the https://www.visible.com/shop/compatibility to verify if your device is compatible with eSIM.
- If you’re activating a device not purchased through our site, make sure it is unlocked and ready for activation.
- If you are transferring your phone number from another carrier, you should have received a notification that the transfer is complete and you can proceed to activation
Also
- Make sure your phone battery is fully charged.
- Make sure your device is connected to WiFi.
- Check for updates to your device’s operating system.
When you open the Visible App on your phone, you’ll be prompted to start activation. On-screen instructions and prompts will guide you through the whole process, but here’s a preview of each step along the way:
- Tap on each checkbox in the checklist and click “Go to activation”.
- A spinning circle will show on your screen while we set up your service. This usually takes less than 5 minutes, but it could take longer in some cases.
- When you’re prompted to go to the “Install Cellular Plan” screen, just tap Continue.
- Tap Continue again when you get to the “Add Cellular Plan” screen.
- You’ll then be asked to choose a label for your Visible plan.
Note: You may see more than one plan listed on the screen if you already have another plan on your phone.
You can customize the label to designate different plans for placing calls, sending messages, and using FaceTime.
You’ll also be able to choose which plan you want to use before you place a call, send a message, or use FaceTime.- To customize the label, tap on the plan and choose from one of the provided labels or create your own. Then tap Done.
- If you have more than one plan, you can choose the default line that will be used to call or send texts to people not in your Contacts on the “Default Line” screen. You can always customize individual Contacts later by selecting them in your phone app. When you’re done, tap Continue.
- Choose which cellular plan you prefer to use for iMessage® and FaceTime®, then tap Continue.
- Choose your default line for cellular data, then tap Continue.
Note: You may want to turn “Allow Cellular data switching” on. This will allow your phone to use cellular data from both plans depending on coverage and availability.
- At this point, you’ll get a pop-up saying “Waiting for Activation”. Tap Dismiss.
- You’ll get another pop-up saying “Phone is Activated” a few seconds later, then you’ll automatically be switched back to the Visible app.
- You’re almost there. The last step is getting you connected to our network. This could take up to 15 minutes, so sit back and relax while we connect you. Your service will be available as soon as you’re connected.
- When you see “Visible” and several bars in the top left corner of your screen, you’re connected and can start using your service (no need to restart your phone first).
Note: It’s Important to double-check that you’re definitely connected to the network and that service is working properly (even though you’re able to use your phone). To do this, simply turn off your phone’s WiFi and text or call your Visible number from another device to make sure it goes through.

- On the phone you’re activating, without exiting the Visible app, go to Settings>Cellular>Add Cellular Plan.
- Position your phone over the QR code displayed on your second device to scan it.
- If you don’t have access to another device, tap “Enter Details Manually” at the bottom of the screen. You’ll be asked to enter information in two different fields. How do I download and update my phone software?
If you’re on Android, generally you’ll get automatic notices that pop up on your phone when it’s time to upgrade your phone’s software, but you can manually check to see if there’s new software you need by following these steps:
- Connect your phone to Wi-Fi.
- Go to Settings.
- If you’re on a Samsung Galaxy, look for Software Update, otherwise, System is the place to go.
- Galaxy owners should tap Download updates manually, others should look for About phone near the bottom of the Systems.
- If available, tap Check for updates, which will let you know if there are any updates for your phone.
- Tap the Update option. The name might be slightly different depending on your phone, but it should be roughly the same.
