www.jetstar.com.au Online Booking
The best way to book a Jetstar flight online is right here on the Jetstar website at www.jetstar.com.au. You can even submit a Price Beat Guarantee request to make sure you’re getting the best price.
After you’ve chosen your flights, double-check and confirm your dates. Then add any extras like baggage, meals, or seats. Your flight, your choice.
Once you’ve made your booking, we’ll send you an itinerary with all the details you need. Check it and save it somewhere you can access easily – you’ll need it on the day you travel.
Prepare any passports, visas and other travel documents you need. Check with the consulate of the country you’re travelling to if you’re not sure what you’ll need.
Book on the Jetstar app
You can also make a booking on your phone by using the Jetstar app available on iPhone or Android.
Change or update your booking
We know that plans can change. If you need to change the time or date of your flight or add extras like seats, baggage, meals or entertainment, you can manage your booking online.
Starter fare rules
Travel on Jetstar is subject to the Conditions of Carriage. Please read them carefully.
Refunds on fare and Jetstar add-ons
- Non-refundable, except in certain circumstances including under your local law or Conditions of Carriage.
- If you have purchased FareCredit, the relevant terms and conditions apply and are available on Jetstar.com at the time of purchase.
Missed check-in deadline or failure to board within the required time
- Non-refundable/loss of fare, except in certain circumstances including under your local law or Conditions of Carriage. Check your itinerary and Jetstar.com for strict check-in and boarding times.
Origin/Destination changes
- Not permitted.
- An origin/destination change is when the place of departure or arrival of a booking is changed. This includes changing the date of an outbound flight so it would depart after the date of a return inbound flight.
Passenger Name changes
- Permitted upon payment of the applicable Change Fee and Fare Difference within Change Deadline via the Jetstar Contact Centre.
- Name changes can be made for an individual passenger on a booking, but must apply to all flights for that passenger.
- Name changes are not permitted for Qantas Frequent Flyer Points Plus Pay, Flight bookings on Jetstar or JAL Mileage bookings.
Online check-in
When you travel with us, make sure you check in online – it reduces contact, and helps you get through the airport quicker.
Online check-in is simple, fast and available for almost all Jetstar flights – see below for exceptions.
To check in online, all you’ll need is your booking reference (it’s on your itinerary) and your passport details if you’re flying international.
Online check-in and baggage
Online check-in is available if you’ve got checked baggage or carry-on baggage.
Carry-on baggage: check in online, get your boarding pass and go straight to the boarding gate.
Checked baggage: check in online, get your boarding pass, then make sure your checked baggage is at the Jetstar bag drop before bag drop closes.
Keep it simple! You can use a mobile boarding pass on all Jetstar Airways (JQ) and Jetstar Japan (GK) domestic flights.
You can get your boarding pass online or at the airport. The type of boarding pass we can provide online depends on your booking type and where you’re departing from.
If you’re eligible, a printable boarding pass will be sent to you after you check in online. You may also be able to travel with a mobile boarding pass that you can save to your phone’s Wallet or Passbook app for some flights.
If you’re travelling internationally and haven’t been issued with a boarding pass after checking in online, you will need to go to the airport on the day of travel to get one.
- For domestic travel within Australia, New Zealand and Japan, you can check in online and download your boarding pass. If needed, you can also print your boarding pass and any bag tags at an airport kiosk.
- You can also print your boarding pass and bag tags at an airport kiosk for most Jetstar Asia (3K) flights from Singapore if you have checked in online
- If you’re travelling on selected international services on Jetstar Asia (3K-coded) flights within Asia, selected Jetstar Japan (GK) flights and Jetstar Airways (JQ) flights from Narita, you may be eligible for straight to gate boarding. This means you can head straight to the boarding gate when you arrive at the airport with your printed PDF or mobile boarding pass.
- You may be able to use mobile boarding passes on domestic services on Jetstar Airways (JQ) and Jetstar Japan (GK), and select Jetstar Asia (3K) flights to and from Singapore
- If you’re flying domestic from an international terminal, you’ll need to visit the check-in counter to present identification to check in and get your boarding pass. Please check your itinerary to see which airport and terminal your flight will depart from. You will need to be at the airport earlier as you check in and bag drop closes 1 hour before your flight.
- On all domestic and international flights departing from Japan, if you have already checked in and selected your boarding pass, you can no longer reprint a boarding pass at an airport kiosk, you’ll need to see a Jetstar team member at the airport for help.
If you need to get your boarding pass at the airport, you must do this before check-in closes.
