Jio DND Activate | 3 Methods to Activate

To activate Do Not Disturb (DND) on your Jio number, you can use any of the three methods below. Open your messaging app. Type START 0 (space between START and 0).

The SMS method is generally the fastest.

Method 1: By SMS (Fastest)

To block ALL commercial calls and SMS (Full DND):

1. Open your messaging app.

2. Type START 0 (space between START and 0).

3. Send it to 1909.

4. You will receive a confirmation message from Jio with a registration number.

(Note: “Full DND” blocks all promotional marketing, but you will still receive transactional alerts like bank OTPs, delivery updates, and balance deductions.)

Method 2: Using the MyJio App

This is best if you want to selectively block certain categories (e.g., block Real Estate calls but keep Education alerts).

1. Open the MyJio App.

2. Tap the Menu (or your profile icon) at the bottom right.

3. Go to Settings > Service Settings > Do Not Disturb.

4. Select “Fully Blocked” to stop everything, or customize your preferences.

5. Tap Submit.

Method 3: By Phone Call

1. Dial 1909 from your Jio number.

2. Follow the IVR instructions (usually pressing 1 for language, then 1 to activate DND).

Important Note

• Time to Activate: It takes 24 hours for the preference to update and up to 7 days to be fully effective across all telemarketers.

• Transactions: DND does not block OTPs or alerts from services you are personally subscribed to (like your bank or Swiggy/Zomato).
