On your Smart TV (or streaming device) open the YouTube app.
Navigate to Settings → Sign In (or “Link with TV code”). A code (usually 6–8 characters) will appear on the TV screen.
On your phone, tablet or computer, open a browser and go to yt.be/activate or youtube.com/activate.
Sign in with the Google account you want to use with YouTube on the TV.
Enter the activation code shown on your TV, then click “Next” or “Allow”.
Your TV will refresh and the YouTube app will be linked to your account.

Make sure the code is entered while it is still valid — they expire relatively quickly.
Ensure the YouTube app on your TV is up to date and your TV is connected to the internet.
Use the same Google account on both the TV activation screen and the browser device.
If no code appears, try closing and reopening the YouTube app or selecting “Sign in with web browser” / “Link device” option.
